Other news?  Paper Brain is now scheduled to go into the studio in May to record their sophomore album.

No Go Know is also going to be working on their sophomore follow up to the EP “Sleeping is Winning” (The Union Records first release!).

And hopefully by the end of Feb. “See you in Rock N Roll Heaven,” Power of County’s third album will be hitting virtual shelves.

Big news around the office…Tim is moving back!  And we are crossing our fingers that he is going to take over promotions, because as James likes to say, the guy can charm anyone out of their underwear.  You might recognize him from Portland: Insomniac with Dave Attell as the wise cracking bartender.

Other news is we are (we hope) getting closer to releasing Power of County’s much anticipated third album, See You in Rock n Roll Heaven.  Yes, the name has changed as we have debated the benefits of smacking the consumer with We Are County, Not COUNTRY!

We’ve been having some growing pains around the Union Records office (read: home office) the last month. We’ve experienced the departure of former members, both to our sadness and relief. We’ve been dealing with a new system of picking bands (Sonicbids) for the festival and weathered the storms of some very confrontational electronic communications from bands taking a business decision as an affront. We’ve been updating the website (happily) from our brokedown, mickey mouse template to something that looks a bit more professional. And we have been on a promotions storm with NGK and PB while we wait, with bated breath, for the new POC album.

All in all, 2008 has already been one heck of a year.
